Who qualifies
Anyone receiving Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, federal public housing, or the Veterans Pension; or income at or below 135% FPL.
What you get
$9.25/month off home or wireless phone or internet (or $34.25/month on Tribal lands). Can apply to either phone or internet, not both.
Tips that matter
After the federal Affordable Connectivity Program ended in 2024, Lifeline is the main remaining federal connectivity discount. Some carriers (SafeLink, Assurance, Q Link) offer free wireless plans on top.
